Leadership, partnership, and a shared vision for the future were on full display at EPCOG's Annual Board Meeting! 🎉

We were honored to welcome Lt. Governor Howie Morales and @ Dr. Jonathan Fuentes, President of Clovis Community College, who shared valuable insights on the opportunities and challenges facing our region and the importance of investing in our communities, workforce, and future generations.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the presentation of the Cry From the Wilderness Award to Dr. Allen Moss, President of Mesalands Community College. This award recognizes individuals whose dedication, leadership, and advocacy have helped ensure that the voices of rural communities are heard and valued. Congratulations, Dr. Moss, and thank you for your lasting contributions to Eastern New Mexico.

The meeting also included the election of EPCOG's Board Officers for the coming year. Please join us in congratulating our newly elected leadership team as they continue to guide EPCOG's mission of regional growth, collaboration, and community development.

A heartfelt thank you to our Board members, local elected officials, community partners, and guests who joined us. The conversations, connections, and commitment demonstrated throughout the meeting are a testament to the strength of our region and what we can accomplish when we work together.

Here's to another year of collaboration, innovation, and progress across Eastern New Mexico! 🚀

📸 Take a look at some of our favorite moments from the Annual Board Meeting.

Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Their courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities will never be forgotten. We stand with their families, friends, and fellow officers in remembrance and gratitude.

🚧 Collaboration in action! 🚧

This week, Julie Surina, EPCOG’s Regional Planner, helped lead the Northeastern Regional Transportation Planning Organization (NERTPO) Transportation Funding Program (TFP) Presentation Meeting in Las Vegas, New Mexico. During the meeting, members of the NERTPO presented their Transportation Funding Program projects to the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), highlighting important infrastructure and transportation needs across our region.

These presentations are a vital step toward securing funding to support safer roads, stronger connectivity, and continued regional growth throughout Eastern New Mexico.

EPCOG is proud to help bring communities together to advocate for projects that make a lasting impact.

Today, the Eastern Plains Council of Governments honors and celebrates the strength, sacrifice, and unwavering support of military spouses—especially those right here in our community.

We extend heartfelt recognition to our very own Celia Kirkland, Branden Goebel, and Kristen Holmes, whose dedication at EPCOG is matched only by their commitment as military spouses. Your resilience and service behind the scenes do not go unnoticed. 💙
