🐾 **BRUIN DRESS CODE QUICK GUIDE** ❤️🤍💙

**SHORTS**
• Minimum **5-inch inseam**
• Must have a **straight, even hem** all the way around
• No athletic shorts with curved/shorter side hems
• Undergarments may not be visible

**BOTTOMS**
• Shorts: minimum 5-inch inseam
• Skirts: no shorter than mid-thigh
• Distressed jeans must be secured/stitched and not expose skin or undergarments
• No excessively baggy, dragging, spandex/lycra, or sleepwear
• Leggings/jeggings must not be see-through or have mesh/ruching above the knee

**SHOES**
• No flip-flops, slides, or slippers
• Shoes/sandals without heel straps are allowed in Grades 7–12 if safe
• **Tennis shoes required for PE**

**TOPS**
• No crop tops or bare midriffs
• Tank tops must have **2-inch minimum shoulder straps**
• Undergarments may not be visible

**OTHER**
• No pajama bottoms
• Hair color must be natural

✏️ ACTION REQUIRED!
Is your student returning to Clovis Unified this fall? The Annual Information Update process is now open! Clovis Unified requires parents or guardians of returning students to review contact phone numbers, address, emergency and health information for their student that is contained in Parent Connect, and to review the district’s policies and procedures.

This update process will occur online now until Aug. 7. Per Clovis Unified policy and for student safety, this information must be reviewed and updated before the new school year begins Aug 17. Students may not receive their schedule or teacher assignments until the updates are completed.

Details to know:
• Completion of the Annual Information Update is mandatory for all parents of returning students.
• Parent Connect accounts are tied to the parent’s e-mail address. Parents should login to their account prior to verify that their email address and password are correct. If a password has been forgotten, click on the “Forgotten Password” link to establish a new one.
• Use the Parent Connect website: cusd.com/parent-connect
• If using a cell phone, download the Q Parent Connection App available at the IOS app store or the Google Play Store.

SAFE E-BIKE RIDING TIPS
Local law enforcement has reported an increase in e‑bike-related accidents in our community. As summer approaches and more students are riding, we encourage families to take time to review safe riding practices.

Did you know that under California Vehicle Code §21200, those riding bicycles or e‑bikes on public roads have the same responsibilities as drivers of cars? This includes children. If your family rides e-bikes or e-scooters, follow these important safety tips:

Make sure you know the operation and licensing requirements for the type of e-bike/scooter you own.
Always wear a properly fitting, approved helmet.
Do not ride recklessly (VC §23103) or at an unsafe speed (VC §23109). Always have both wheels on the ground, hands on the handlebars, and your body on the seat.

Be aware that if used incorrectly, e-vehicles can be impounded and will require expensive fines to be returned.
