I want to first and foremost thank my family and the incredible supporters who have stood by me throughout this journey. Your encouragement, belief, and constant support over the past five years have meant more than I can put into words.

Serving this town, one that I care so deeply about, has been both an honor and a privilege. I’m proud of the work we’ve done together and the relationships we’ve built along the way.

Congratulations to those who won their primary races. I wish you the best heading into November.

While this chapter may be coming to a close, it’s far from the end. When one door closes, another opens, and I’m not going anywhere. My commitment to this community hasn’t changed. I will continue working behind the scenes to support the people and the future of this town.

To everyone who has supported me, thank you for believing in me. This isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning of what’s next. Stay tuned.

Important Announcement:

After a lot of thought and discussions with my family. I have made the difficult decision to suspend my campaign effective immediately.

Also tomorrow, I will be submitting my resignation as an elected offical for the Town of Cloverdale effective immediately.

Serving our community has truly been an honor. I’m proud of the work we have accomplished together and grateful for the opportunity to have had a voice in decisions that impact our town. I care deeply about this community and always did my best to serve with integrity and dedication. However, over time the level of disrespectful comments, hate speech, and personal attacks has taken a toll, not just on me, but on my family as well. My family will always come first, and I can no longer continue to put them through the negativity that has come with this role and campaign.

This was not an easy decision, and it saddens me that it has come to this point. I truly believe in serving our community and hope that respectful dialogue can return to local conversations. Thank you to those who supported me, worked alongside me, and encouraging me throughout my time on the council. I am proud of what we accomplished together and will always be grateful for the experience.

Join us on March 31st from 5:30–7:30 PM at the Stardust Clubhouse for a Meet & Greet as we continue the campaign for reelection.

Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors. Over the past term, I’ve worked to represent the values that make small towns strong, looking out for our neighbors, supporting our local businesses, and making sure our community continues to be a place where families can put down roots and thrive. Real progress happens when people work together, listen to one another, and stay focused on what matters most.

There is still important work ahead to keep our community growing while protecting the small town character we’re proud of.

This Meet & Greet is a chance to stop by, visit for a while, share your thoughts, ask questions, and talk about the future of our community. Whether you’ve supported me from the beginning or you’re just getting to know me, I’d truly appreciate the opportunity to shake your hand and hear what’s on your mind.

With your continued support, we can keep working together to make sure our town remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

I hope to see you there.

Great news for Cloverdale!

We’re excited to share that our town has received another grant to support important improvements right here at home. This funding will help us continue enhancing the spaces, services, and infrastructure that make Cloverdale such a special place to live and work.

Hard work truly pays off. Through careful planning, persistence, and a commitment to doing what’s best for our residents, we’re seeing real results, and we’re not slowing down.

We’ll continue working hard for you every single day, pursuing opportunities that strengthen Cloverdale and invest in our future.

Debate Information:

I recently extended an invitation to my opponent to participate in a public, side by side debate so that voters could hear directly from both of us on the issues that matter most to our community. To date, I have not received a response.

I believe open dialogue and transparency are fundamental to a healthy democratic process. Our community deserves the opportunity to compare our visions, priorities, and plans in a clear and respectful forum.

In the absence of a formal debate, I still want to ensure your questions are heard and addressed. If there is anything you would have asked during an in person debate, about policy, leadership, priorities, or the future of our community, I invite you to send your questions directly to me. I am committed to providing thoughtful, direct answers.

I have truly enjoyed members of our community reaching out with questions, ideas, and concerns over the past couple weeks. Those conversations are important to me, and they help shape the work we do. I am also meeting in person with community members who would like to sit down and discuss issues in more detail. If you would like to meet, please reach out to arrange a time.

Your voice matters, and I look forward to the conversation.

Over the past term, we’ve worked hard to hold the line on taxes, avoid raising utility costs, and protect the character of our town.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but there’s more work to do. Experience and leadership matters.

I’m running for reelection to keep our town moving forward with practical solutions that put our community first.

Election Day is May 5th. I would be honored to have your support.

Election PSA:

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been asked whether anyone is running against me for Cloverdale Town Council, Ward 3. Great question!

The answer is yes, I do have a challenger for the May 5 primary.

I ask for your support if you believe in the work that has been accomplished during my first term. I also encourage you to do your own homework so that when you vote, you can choose the candidate you believe is best suited to help lead the Town of Cloverdale alongside the other four council members.

Do your research, ask questions, review the facts, and vote with confidence on May 5.

Indiana Senate Bill 1 (Property Tax Relief 2025) was signed into law in April 2025 and will go into effect in 2028.

SB1 cuts property taxes for homeowners and businesses, but it also reduces funding for local units of government, creating a challenging budget scenario for municipalities. Under this bill, Cloverdale will lose all of its public safety funding that we currently rely on. These are tough conversations, but this is the reality we are facing.

Indiana’s SB1 significantly impacts small towns and will force us to rely more on Local Income Taxes (LIT) or make difficult budget cuts.

The bill allows towns with 3,500 or more residents the flexibility to adopt their own Local Income Tax (LIT) beginning in 2028 to replace lost revenue. We are not there — yet.

Municipalities across the state have already implemented hiring freezes, and many others are considering them.

With your support, I will continue working to make Cloverdale a community where developers want to partner with landowners to build new housing and senior living developments.

Truth matters, and these are hard conversations.

Your vote is your voice. I respectfully ask for your support on May 5, 2026.

Vote for Brandon Tancak for Cloverdale Town Council, Ward 3.

Together, we will keep moving in the right direction.
