🚔 BURGLARY SUSPECT ARRESTED 🚔

Today, September 2, 2026, at approximately 8:54 a.m., Cloverdale Police officers responded to a home in the 400 block of S. Franklin Street regarding a reported trespassing incident.

Before officers arrived, the involved subject had fled the area. During their investigation, officers determined that the incident had escalated beyond the original trespassing complaint and that a burglary had occurred.

The investigation revealed that the suspect had unlawfully entered the home. When the resident confronted the suspect, the suspect became aggressive, forcing the resident to retreat to a safe location.

Officers canvassed the surrounding area and located the suspect. The suspect was arrested for burglary and transported to the Sonoma County Jail.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.

🚨 DUI ARREST FOLLOWING COLLISION ON ASTI ROAD 🚨

On August 31, 2026, at approximately 3:33 p.m., Cloverdale Police officers responded to a vehicle collision on Asti Road, just north of Citrus Fair Drive.

Preliminary information indicates that a vehicle traveling northbound veered into the southbound lane and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The southbound driver was able to take evasive action and swerve out of the way, resulting in a side-swipe collision rather than a potential head-on crash.

Officers contacted the driver of the northbound vehicle and observed signs and symptoms consistent with impairment.

Following a DUI investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for DUI (Drug impairment) and transported to the Sonoma County Jail and his vehicle towed.

We are extremely grateful the southbound driver was able to react quickly and avoid what could have been a much more serious collision.

This incident serves as another reminder of the dangers of impaired driving. Please make the responsible choice, don’t drive impaired—plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or other safe transportation options.

Drive sober. Lives depend on it.

🚔 Things NOT to do while driving in Cloverdale:

❌ Don’t do donuts.
❌ Don’t drive excessively fast.
❌ Don’t drive at more than double the legal alcohol limit.
❌ Don’t drive recklessly.
❌ And perhaps most importantly… don’t burn rubber directly in front of a Cloverdale Police officer. 🤦‍♂️

When you combine all five, the evening tends to end with a trip to jail and your vehicle being towed.

Last night, August 30th, 2026, at approximately 11:39pm, Cloverdale Police received a report of a reckless driver in the area of S. Cloverdale Blvd and Citrus Fair Drive. An officer on patrol located the involved vehicle.

Apparently deciding the situation needed a little more evidence, the driver proceeded to peel out directly in front of our officer leading to an enforcement stop.

After further investigation, the driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI — his fourth DUI in eight years — as well as reckless driving, violation of probation and driving with a suspended license, and later booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

🚫 Drive sober. Drive responsibly. And if you happen to see a police car… burning rubber probably isn’t the best way to introduce yourself.

📚🚔 10-4, school is back in session!🚔📚

The halls are full, backpacks are bigger than the kids, and our SRO is ready to patrol the halls, lend a hand, and investigate any suspicious amount of hallway running 👀🚨

Here’s to a safe, fun, and successful school year! Welcome back students, teachers, staff, and families. We’ll be on patrol, keeping an eye out for any trouble and maybe a few missing pencils ✏️🚓

Thank you, Cloverdale!

The Cloverdale Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, participated in, and helped make our 2026 National Night Out a tremendous success on Tuesday evening.

It was wonderful to see so many members of our community come together to meet with first responders, enjoy an evening with friends and neighbors, and strengthen the partnerships that make Cloverdale such a special place to live and work. Events like National Night Out remind us that building a safer community starts with strong relationships and open communication between law enforcement and the people we proudly serve.

A special thank you goes out to the Cloverdale Lions Club, the Cloverdale Police Officers' Association, and our many local businesses, organizations, and community sponsors whose generous support, donations, and volunteer efforts made this event possible. Your continued commitment to our community is truly appreciated.
