Ready. Aim. Splash!

Cloverdale's 4th of July Parade is getting a little wetter this year! In honor of America's birthday, we're introducing a Splash Zone to the parade route!
Located at the bus stop next to Plaza Park, parade participants can choose their route at the road split near City Hall:

← If they go left towards the park, we hope they came prepared for an H2O battle!
→ If they go right at the fork (away from the park), they will continue on the dry route and remain gloriously un-soaked.

Residents of all ages are invited to line up with their favorite sq**rt guns and water blasters. The City will provide refill stations in Plaza Park by the rest rooms to help keep the action going.
A few rules of engagement:

• BYO Sq**rt guns and water blasters only
• No water balloons or projectiles
• Keep it safe and family friendly
• Let the dry side stay dry
• No running, the pavement may be slippery when wet
• Wage water war at your own risk

Don't want to get wet? Then the splash zone is not for you! We'd suggest choosing an alternative location to post up along the parade route.
Some floats will charge bravely into battle. Others will choose a drier path. Either way, it's shaping up to be a memorable way to celebrate 250 years!

The water works begin July 4 at 10:00 AM.

🚔 **ARREST MADE IN CLOVERDALE ROBBERY INVESTIGATION** 🚔

After more than a year of investigation, the Cloverdale Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred at McDonald's on January 29, 2025.

The robbery occurred when a male suspect entered the restaurant, threatened an employee by claiming he had a knife, and stole cash from a register before fleeing on foot. Officers immediately responded and began collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance footage from McDonald's and nearby businesses.

During the investigation, officers recovered clothing believed to have been discarded by the suspect during his escape. Investigators obtained surveillance footage from multiple businesses along the suspect's route and released a photograph to the public seeking assistance with identification. Community members provided valuable information that helped identify the suspect.

Recently, DNA analysis conducted by the California Department of Justice provided very strong support linking the suspect to evidence recovered during the investigation. Using a combination of forensic evidence, surveillance footage, witness statements, community tips, and DNA evidence, investigators developed probable cause to arrest Conrad Stuart Garibaldi for robbery.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Garibaldi's vehicle was entered into the department's FLOCK Safety camera system hotlist. When Garibaldi entered the City of Cloverdale, the system generated an alert to officers. Officers quickly responded to the area, located Garibaldi at a local bar, and took him into custody without incident. Garibaldi was subsequently booked into the Sonoma County Jail on robbery charges, along with additional drug and probation violation charges discovered during the arrest investigation.

This case highlights how traditional investigative work, community cooperation, forensic evidence, and technology can work together to solve crimes and hold offenders accountable. The Cloverdale Police Department would like to thank the employees and businesses that assisted with this investigation, the community members who provided information, and the California Department of Justice for their assistance with forensic testing.

As always, all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Cooling Center Open Thursday, June 11, 2026

Due to anticipated high temperatures, the La Familia Sana Resiliency Center, located at 437 N. Cloverdale Blvd., will be open on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM for anyone needing relief from the heat.

Cool refreshments, generously donated by Ray's Food Place, will be available while supplies last.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on elderly neighbors, family members, and pets.
