Stop by the Nature Center on Saturday, August 2nd and get-together with the Friends of Lieber as they celebrate Smokey Bear's Birthday with an Ice Cream Social. The Birthday Bash is from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, you can visit with Smokey Bear at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Boaters, be cautious when navigating flooded waters and watch out for hidden curbs and objects. Be aware and understand that the water may be higher when you return; park trailers safely and on high ground, and wear your life jackets!

Lieber SRA beach is still flooded and closed for swimming. The fishing pier and it's parking lot are also flooded and inaccessible at this time.

The swimming pool is open from 11AM-6 PM and is $3/person.

Boaters, be cautious when navigating flooded waters and watch out for hidden curbs and objects. Be aware and understand that the water may be higher when you return; park trailers safely and on high ground, and wear your life jackets!

Lieber SRA beach is still flooded and closed for swimming. The fishing pier and it's parking lot are also flooded and inaccessible at this time.

The swimming pool is open from 11AM-6 PM and is $3/person. It will close if there is inclement weather or lightening spotted.

Cagles Mill Lake - Lieber and Cataract Falls State Recreation Areas

Cagles Mill Lake lies in Putnam and Owen counties in south-central Indiana— approximately midway between Indianapolis and Terre Haute. Lieber State Recreation Area has a state-of-the-art Aquatic Center that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Aquatic Center has a zero entrance pool, water bubblers and a tornado water slide. There are also shelters, a volleyball court and a playground. Other family fun opportunities include hiking trails, boat access to the 1,400-Cagles Mill Lake and a campground. The 115 Class A and 94 Class B campsites make this a lovely place to visit. Plan a picnic in the activities field, where you will find horseshoe pits, basketball courts, and plenty of play areas for the kids. Cataract Falls State Recreation Area is home to the beautiful Cataract Falls, created from two pre-glacial bedrock ridges buried beneath ancient lake sediments of the Illinoisan glacial period. Cataract Falls Covered Bridge, Owen County’s only covered bridge, crosses the Eel River.
