Engine 75, Rescue 71 with our Grain Rescue Tube responded to east of Belle Union to assist Jefferson Twp. and Greencastle Fire with a Grain Bin entrapment. Medic-5 , PCSD , Plainfield Fire and several other Hendricks County fire units assisted at the scene as well. The person trapped was successfully removed from the grain bin and was transported to the hospital to be checked out. He was awake and alert the whole time.

🌟 We are back with Feature ’em Friday 🌟

This week, we’re proud to feature Jon Addler!

Jon has dedicated 15 years to EMS, including the last 4 years with Putnam County EMS. Before joining PCEMS, he spent 8 years with Putnam County Operation Life, meaning he has devoted nearly his entire EMS career to serving the residents of Putnam County.

What Jon enjoys most about EMS is being part of a team of passionate and highly skilled providers while having the opportunity to care for his neighbors during their time of need. He believes that every shift is an opportunity to make a difference through compassion, and that commitment is evident in the care he provides every day.

Jon’s dedication to service extends far beyond the ambulance. He has proudly served in the volunteer fire service for 24 years, is an active member of the Putnam County Fair Board, where he previously served as Board President, and was a member of Indiana Task Force 7, deploying in 2012 to assist communities devastated by Superstorm Sandy. Whether he’s responding to emergencies, supporting county traditions, or volunteering his time, serving others has always been a cornerstone of Jon’s life.

When he’s not at work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters (18, 6, and 10 months old). Their home is also shared with three cats—Patches, Mossy, and Binx. If there’s a Cubs game on, there’s a good chance you’ll find Jon cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs. ⚾

When asked about his favorite ice cream, Jon couldn’t narrow it down. His answer? “D. All of the above.” 🍦 We think that’s a pretty solid choice!

Jon, thank you for your years of dedication to Putnam County, your commitment to public service, and the compassion and professionalism you bring to PCEMS every day. We are proud to have you as part of the PCEMS family and grateful for all you do for our community. 💙🚑

Crews responded to a 2 vehicle accident on I-70 this evening. All patients escaped with minor injuries. Traffic is still backed up eastbound from cloverdale. Vehicle struck a construction vehicle that was on the shoulder. Crews responded with medic 5, PCSD, CPD, state police and Curtis wrecker.

Funeral procession information for Cloverdale Town Marshal Lowell "Adam" Hull.

Please share so that everyone is aware.

Attached is a map of the funeral procession for Cloverdale Marshal Adam Hull tomorrow(Sunday) May 24th 2026. The procession will start at Whitaker Funeral Home and end at the Cloverdale Highschool. The procession will start at approximately 10AM.

Please note:

- Many intersections will be closed during this time until the procession clears.
- As is with any other time, when you see approaching Police Cars with emergency lights on, pull over and yield the right of way.
- When the procession arrives at the Cloverdale Police Department; it will stop and the final 10-42 (off-duty) call will be given for Marshal Hull. We recommend, those wishing to pay their respects to Marshal Hull, attend the final call. There will be plenty of space and the roadway will be shutdown during this time.
------------ For any Police, fire and emergency services attending, the final 10-42 call will be on Putnam County Sheriff's Ops 1 radio frequency.

The viewing will be at Cloverdale Highschool from Noon to 4PM. The funeral begins at 4pm with speakers, closing remarks a final walk, then a Police es**rt back to the funeral home.

On behalf of the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and our brothers and sisters in blue mourning the loss of our Town Marshall, Adam Hull.

Adam served with courage, honor, and dedication. His commitment to this community will never be forgotten. The impact he made was not only seen in the calls he answered, but in the lives he touched, the people he protected, and the example he set for others.

Today, we are reminded that the badge and the shield may look different, but the mission is the same — to serve, protect, and stand beside our community in its greatest moments of need.

To the Hull family: please know you are not grieving alone. Our fire department stands with you. We share in your sorrow, and we honor the sacrifice made by your loved one.

To our law enforcement family: we grieve alongside you. The bond between first responders is built through long nights, difficult calls, and unwavering trust in one another. That bond does not end here.

While words can never fully ease the pain of this loss, we hope you find comfort in knowing Adam’s life mattered deeply and his service made a difference.

May we continue to honor his memory by serving our community with the same strength, compassion, and selflessness he showed every day.

Rest easy, Marshall Hull. We will take it from here.

We’re proud to have Steve on our team!

🌟 Feature ’em Friday 🌟

This week we’re proud to feature Stephen Caulkins!

Steve has been serving as an EMT since 2012, with 5 years at Putnam County EMS. He is also a longtime member of Cloverdale Township Fire Department, where he has served since 2002, and additionally works part-time with the Greencastle Fire Department. His dedication to public safety and the communities of Putnam County is something that truly stands out.

What Steve enjoys most about EMS is being able to provide care for the residents of Putnam County — something he does with compassion, professionalism, and a willingness to always step up when needed.

Last year, Steve was recognized for those qualities when he was awarded EMT of the Year at the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association Emergency Response Conference — a well-deserved honor for someone who consistently goes above and beyond for both patients and coworkers alike.

Around the station, Steve is known as someone who is always willing to help, never hesitates to jump into a task, and can always be counted on when something needs done. Simply put — Steve is just a genuinely good dude, and we’re lucky to have him on our team.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Felicia and their children Hailey, Carson, Mason, Tysohn, Maelah, and Paisley. He’s also a proud cat owner to Aerial and Hallie 🐱. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, golfing, watching The Office, and, in his words, annoying his wife.

His favorite sweet treat? Raspberry flavored anything 🍓
