Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the 343 firefighters, the first responders, and the thousands of innocent victims whose lives were forever changed that day. Their courage, sacrifice, and selfless service remain woven into the fabric of the fire service and our nation.

As we reflect on this solemn day, we remember not only how much was lost, but also the extraordinary bravery shown in the face of unimaginable adversity.

The Cloquet Area Fire District stands in remembrance with fire departments across the country. We will never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice, nor the families and communities who continue to carry their memory.

Don't worry, we didn't forget about e-scooters! Here are some quick facts about e-scooters in Minnesota that everyone should know:

✅ Some e-scooters can reach speeds of up to 15 mph.

⛑️ Helmets are required for riders under the age of 18. A properly fitted helmet can help reduce the risk of serious injuries.

📵 Stay alert and avoid distractions such as texting, using your phone, or wearing headphones while riding.

E-bikes are still relatively new, and many people, including adults, may not know all the rules and safety recommendations. Here are some quick facts about e-bikes in Minnesota that everyone should know:

✅ Some e-bikes can reach speeds of up to 28 mph.

⛑️ Always wear a properly fitted, certified helmet. A standard foam bicycle helmet may not provide enough protection for higher-speed e-bikes.
