A Room Rental Update

Our meeting rooms are a place where our community comes together — for nonprofit meetings, family gatherings, community groups, workshops, and local organizations. We’re grateful for everyone who makes use of these spaces.

We want to let you know about a small change to our room rental rates. Beginning September 1, 2026, rates will be:

$35/hour for individuals and nonprofit organizations, and $60/hour for for-profit organizations.

The rate for reservations already made by then will remain the same as before.

We know that even a modest increase can make a difference, and we didn’t make this decision lightly. These updated rates will help us continue to care for and maintain our meeting spaces and other services.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and most of all, for continuing to make the library a place where our community can come together. We are lucky to be part of this wonderful community. 💙📚

September 17, 2026, marks the 239th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787.

To celebrate this significant day in American History, the Carlton County Constitution Committee, We The People Cloquet Area Indivisible, and Cloquet Public Library invite you to join us for a community-led reading of the United States Constitution.

Come listen, learn, and become more familiar with this important document and its role in our democracy. Everyone is welcome—no prior knowledge is needed.
