📣Calling All Native Artists — Heritage Night Hockey Jersey Designs Needed

Minnesota Wilderness and Black Bear Casino Resort are proud partners in celebrating Native American Heritage Month each season through the annual Heritage Night event. This special weekend honors Native culture, shares traditions, educates our region, and creates meaningful opportunities to learn from one another.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 hockey season, we are opening the design process for our custom Heritage Night hockey jerseys to the community. We invite Fond du Lac Band artists and descendants to submit original artwork for the jersey design that the Minnesota Wilderness team will wear during our sponsored Heritage Night weekend in November 2026.

This is an opportunity to showcase Native creativity, culture, and storytelling on the ice while representing our community in a meaningful way.

🧵 Submission Process
✅Submit your design by July 17, 2026
✅Designs must be submitted in PDF, EPS, or Adobe Illustrator (.AI) format
✅All artwork must use the provided jersey template
✅Email submissions to: [email protected]
✅All submissions received by the deadline will be reviewed
✅One final design will be selected by a review committee

🪶 Eligibility & Rules
✅Artist must be an enrolled member or descendant of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa
✅Late submissions will not be accepted
✅Submissions using AI will not be accepted
✅All submissions must include contact information in the email

Final jersey layouts may require adjustments to meet Minnesota Wilderness and league regulations (logo placement, player numbers, name positioning). Any modifications will be communicated directly with the selected artist

The selected design and artist may be featured in marketing materials, photography, videography, social media, and other promotional efforts related to the event

We look forward to seeing the creativity and cultural inspiration our community brings to this year’s Heritage Night jersey design. ()
