Slow moving showers and heavy downpours could create flooding situations in the area tonight/tomorrow. Remember, "Turn Around, Don't Drown!" Flood waters may look calm on the surface, but have strong current underneath. Never drive through flood water.

Common places we may see street flooding in Clive are 9200 block of Swanson Blvd, areas of University Blvd/Ave, Hickman Road under the railroad tracks, and the corner of 86th Street & University Ave.

Last week, we also got to help with Crestview School of Inquiry - WDMCS and their end of school field day. We didn’t have time to catch any photos in between all the tug-of-war battles, but trust us, those are some strong kids! It was a blast!!

This morning, crews got a chance to hang out at Indian Hills Junior High (WDMCS) for their last day of school event. Students had the chance to ask/answer questions about the fire department and practice their fire extinguisher skills on our simulator. Here’s to a fun, safe summer kids!

This week is national police week and we want to give a thank you to our favorite second responders! They may not be as cool as firefighters but we still love them anyway.

Of course....we're kidding!

All jokes aside, our partners in law enforcement are amazing men and women who put the public above themselves everyday to keep everyone safe. They go out of their way to help us on the fire department and for that we are tremendously grateful. Law enforcement can be a thankless job sometimes, but please join us in thanking a police officer this week.

Thank you to our tremendous brothers and sisters in blue who truly are amazing at what they do and we are forever grateful! We hope you get plenty of donuts this week!

The kitchen table is the heart of the firehouse — where meals are shared, training is discussed, and strong bonds are built. We’re grateful for this beautiful addition to Station 32 that will serve our crews for years to come.
