A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the Catfish Rodeo at Blue Springs State Park such a great success!

It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and anglers spending the day together enjoying fishing, fun, and the outdoors. A special thank you goes to our game wardens for hosting this event and helping make it such a memorable day.

Join us at Blue Spring State Park for our Catfish Rodeo on Saturday, May 30, 2026! This event is FREE for kids ages 15 and younger. Registration starts at 8 AM and fishing will last from 9 AM to 11 AM. Lunch and awards will follow after at pavilion 1. We look forward to a fun morning of fishing and family time at the park!

✏️ Interested in starting a nature journal but don’t know where to begin? Join us at Blue Springs State Park on May 2, 2026, at 10 AM for our next Spring at the Springs program: Nature Journaling! We’ll learn about the benefits of nature journaling, do a guided exercise, and then spend some time in the park working on our first entry! Each participant will receive their own journal during the program. All supplies and park admission are covered by the program fee.
