🛹 Let's Restore the Gordy Noren Memorial Skate Park!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!

📍 Gordy Noren Memorial Skate Park
W.A. Olen Park | Clintonville, WI

Earlier this summer, high water at W.A. Olen Park caused significant damage to our beloved Gordy Noren Memorial Skate Park.

Now, the Clintonville Lions Club is rolling up our sleeves, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

There is plenty of cleanup and repair work to be done to make the skate park and surrounding areas safer for our local youth.

💪 CAN YOU SPARE SOME OF YOUR TIME?
Whether you can help for 30 minutes, an hour, or the entire morning, EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS! You don't need to be a Lion to lend a helping hand. Community members, families, and friends are welcome! "Community Service Project" hours welcome too!

🔨 WHAT TO BRING:
• Hammers and cordless drills
• Work gloves
• Old clothing you don't mind getting dirty
• Sturdy, closed-toe footwear
• A willingness to pitch in and make a difference!

🥤 Light refreshments will be provided as a thank-you for your time and hard work!

🛠️ OUR WORK DOESN'T STOP HERE!
The Clintonville Lions Club is also working to secure additional funding to replace and update the worn and damaged surfaces on the skate ramps.

Once the structures are repaired and in good condition, we plan to touch up and refresh the painted murals that make this park so special!

❤️ A LITTLE HISTORY BEHIND THE PARK...
Many years ago, former Clintonville Lions Club member Gordy Noren had a vision and helped establish this skate park for the youth of our community.

Although Gordy has since passed away, his dedication to Clintonville lives on through this park and the countless young people who have enjoyed it over the years.

The Clintonville Lions are proud to continue his legacy by caring for this special place and giving back to the community he loved.

The Puzzle Swap is back! Bring in your gently used puzzles (no puzzles with missing pieces please!) anytime between now and October 13th and get your name on the list to return and pick out some new to you puzzles!

Barnaby Jones and Ma from the Wisconsin Chapter of the Cryptids, Anomalies, and Paranormal Society (CAPS) will be teaching us about paranormal investigations 👻🏠🌌🫣. The talk will conclude with a paranormal investigation of the library!
