AuSable Valley Facilities Study Presentation

During the 2025-2026 school year, the AuSable Valley Central School District committed to conducting and sharing the results of three important studies to help guide future planning and decision-making. Those studies included a Long-Term Financial Study, which was presented in the fall, a Special Education Study, which was shared in March, and a Facilities Study.

We are pleased to share that the Facilities Study has now been completed. The district would like to invite community members to attend a public presentation of the study on Monday, June 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the AuSable Valley Middle-High School Auditorium.

We understand this is a busy time of year for students, families, and staff. However, we felt it was important to share this information with the community prior to the end of the school year. We have also heard from community members about the importance of having access to this information. To support that effort, the presentation will be recorded and posted on the district website. The PowerPoint presentation and the full Facilities Study report will also be made available for public review.

It is important to note that no decisions have been made as part of this process. The purpose of the Facilities Study is to gather information, explore options, and provide a clearer understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the district. The study is intended to inform future discussions and planning efforts.

Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for community members to ask questions and engage in discussion regarding the study and its findings.

Community input will continue to be an important part of this work. Additional opportunities for feedback and discussion will be shared as the district reviews the findings and considers next steps.

We encourage all interested community members to attend and learn more about the study and its findings.

A heartfelt thank you to local author and illustrator Tom Semeraro for once again visiting our library classes at Keeseville Elementary School!

Students enjoyed learning about his book Navi, asking thoughtful questions, and exploring the creative process behind writing and illustrating a story. Each student also received a copy of Navi to take home, making this experience even more special.

We are grateful for Tom's time, talent, and continued support of our students. Thank you for inspiring young readers, writers, and artists!
