Statement From The Storm of the Future BY BYRANT BARNETTE “The people of Clinton Iowa need to be heard. They are being left behind, under valued, and not represented in the issues that affect there families, there community, and there future.

The call went out today and the people have united and said; We will not be silenced anymore” We are here today to communicate that we believe that true change can occur only if the people decide not to be OK with the circumstances and are willing to demand the changes we need. We are movement for accountability, transparence, and for the respect of the people.

We will continue to call it like we see it and remind officials that they represent the people and not the other way around. We are not about encouraging anger or inciting violence but we are here to encourage citizens to unite, be involved, and stand up for what is right.

Any citizen has a right to expect that the officials serving them will do so with honest, security, economic vitality, and will listen to the needs of the community. The call of “The people will not be silenced” stands for the simple fact that our voices deserve to be heard.

Our future is in the hands of those preparing it. Let’s make Clinton what it ought to be – a place where every family, every worker, every business, every community and neighbor matters. May our voice be humble, loud, and filled with hope.

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Bryant Barnette and I am running for Mayor of Clinton, Iowa!

In my view, it is time for Clinton to have a Mayor who will provide all citizens with the following: Listen to your citizens, Serve your citizens, Provide leadership that understands who the government serves, The people.

THE STORM OF THE FUTURE will not come as a result of anger. Rather, it will come from a motivated, determined group of citizens who believe that THEY can make a difference and that THEIR FUTURE IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR. Together, we will MAKE A STRONGER CLINTON FOR GENERATIONS TO COME!

FACE EVERYTHING AND RISE is the platform for this campaign. "Face Everything and Rise" means:

1) We will face our problems head-on, instead of turning away from them;
2) We will listen to the concerns of our citizens;
3) We will stand firm when we make the difficult decisions.

United We Rise Movement join us at City Hall on Tuesday , June 9th, 2026, where we will gather to show the Clinton City Council our support by encouraging them to vote YES on the moratorium for the proposed QTS Data Center.

All of our voices matter, and we need to make sure that the City Council knows that we all want to protect our community from the effects of the proposed data center.
