Whether you’ve been following this page from the beginning or you’ve just recently joined us, I thought this would be a good time to introduce myself again.
I’m Daniel Wilson, a lifelong Henry County resident, husband, dad of three, accountant, small cattle farmer, and someone who has been fortunate to serve this community in a number of different ways over the years.
For 15 years, I served on the Clinton City Council, including many years as Mayor Pro Tem. I’ve also spent years serving on the Henry County Extension Council and other local boards and organizations. Those experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from all across our community and have taught me a great deal about both the challenges we face and the opportunities ahead of us.
I’m running for Henry County Presiding Commissioner because I believe our county needs experienced, steady leadership and someone who is willing to work with people across our community. I’m a conservative Republican who believes in careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars, strong public safety, and keeping government accountable and accessible.
Most importantly, I love Henry County. This is where Rachel and I are raising our family, where we work, serve, farm, go to church, coach kids, and call home.
Over the next several weeks, I’m looking forward to sharing more about my experience, the issues facing our county, and what I believe we can accomplish together.
