Happening right here at the park.

The Clinton Sunrise Optimist Club will be holding the 16th Annual FireQuacker 500 on FRIDAY, JULY 5TH at Optimist Creek in Optimist Park during the Olde Glory Days festivities. The event will be held at noon with 3000 ducks being dropped into the creek. Spectators will watch as the ducks dodge rocks, sticks and grass to fight to the finish. Everyone can purchase ducks for a chance to win $500, $250 and $100 respectively for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Cost is $1.00 per duck (buck a duck!!)
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from any Sunrise Optimist Club member, and at Hawthorn Bank and Integrity Floors. Tickets will be for sale the day of the race if there are any left unsold.
Funds from the FireQuacker 500 Duck Race are used for youth activities throughout the year.
Free ice water and hot dogs will be available before the race. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy some fun!
The Fishin' Magicians will perform in the 11:00 hour before the race, so get there early!
