As we celebrate the last day of National Public Safety Tele-communicators week, I would like to thank each of our dispatchers. With out you we wouldn’t have the life line that we have to 911. Our dispatchers have chosen to do this, and deserved the week they had. Any time we can laugh at dispatch, or not have to worry about when we can eat is a good day! Today was pajama day for this side! Also, thank you to Jason and Rhonda for lunch and dinner today!

Headsets on like hats of fame,
Every shift’s a brand-new game,

Juggling calls left and right,
Keeping everything in sight,
Fire here and EMS there,
Police units everywhere!

Popcorn’s out, but coffee’s in,
Fueling every steady win,
Laughs between the chaos fly—
Even on the toughest try.

The lions roar? Just voices loud,
But calm still rises through the crowd,
With every word both clear and bright,
They turn confusion into right.

Three-ring circus, spinning fast,
But teamwork makes the moments last,
High-fives, smiles, “we got this!” cheers,
Getting through the busiest gears.

Welcome to day 5 of National Public Safety Telecommunications week! Today Casey Dunn the owner of Lake Laundry provided our dispatchers with lunch and dinner from Joe n Hash! We would like to thank him for the yummy food! Our dress up theme today was dress like a tourist. I’m loving the outfits!

Today was day 4 and we celebrated US! Thank you to Van Buren County Rd Crew who cooked us BBQ pork and chicken with all the sides! It was DELICIOUS! Today was 10- code day again (the other side wanted a chance at it too 😁) I think the crazy person may work in dispatch…. Today everyone received their gift baskets as well and we are so very thankful and blessed to have such amazing supporters! We pulled a prank on our director during our meeting today 🤣 We all brought in anything but a cup to drink from! Let’s just say it took her a minute to figure out what was going on, and there may have been a few laughs that weren’t controlled! Enjoy the pictures from today!

Day 3 of National telecommunications week! Today’s dress up day was Red, White and blue day! Also, Krysta found the Golden duck! Day shift had fried chicken, Mac and cheese and Cole slaw and Night shift had pizza, wings and bread sticks tonight from Fairfield bay Fire dept.

Some days when the phones are all ringing, including the 911 phone, it seems like we’re juggling so much! We are thankful we have dispatcher’s who know just how to juggle those calls!

Alread Fire Dept. Is the largest in our county. Get to know your local fire department members.

***ALREAD 1 SPOTLIGHT*** Tammy Webb, Alread Fire Chief . You might know her as the chicken lady, selling baby chicks. 🐣Her dedication goes beyond just answering the calls. Tammy not only takes care of those who need medical attention but she takes it one step further. She makes sure the patients pets or animals 🐶🐱are cared for until the patient comes home. She has held the chief’s position for over 8 years. We can’t wait to see what this next year will hold for our department.
