Today at the CCOSA (Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration) Conference, Clinton High School and GEAR UP staff had the opportunity to share the impact of our required Senior Capstone course and how it is preparing students for life beyond graduation. πŸŽ“πŸŒͺ️

Created in response to full senior schedules, increased concurrent enrollment, and the need to centralize important graduation requirements, Senior Capstone ensures every senior completes essential milestones, including FAFSA, Personal Financial Literacy, ICAP, Oklahoma’s Promise, CPR certification, and a community volunteer service project.

The course also focuses heavily on postsecondary readiness through resumes, mock interviews, college visits, College App Week, scholarship essays, and interview preparation. Through partnerships like GEAR UP, students are challenged to grow in personal responsibility, civic engagement, and leadership while embracing the message: β€œYou’re 18; it’s your responsibility.”

We are proud to see the positive impact this course is having as more students pursue college opportunities and graduate better prepared for their future.

It's a great day to be a Red Tornado! πŸŒͺ️

Our CHS AP Psychology students recently completed a project focused on gratitude and its impact on mental health. As part of the project, CHS students and staff were invited to share what gratitude means to them, who or what they’re thankful for, and even inspirational quotes and songs that bring encouragement and motivation.

Those responses came together to create this incredible Gratitude Wall, a powerful reminder of the importance of appreciation, kindness, and connection in our daily lives. πŸ’›

Before the weather moved graduation to the Dome, there was a little bit of magic at McLain Rogers Park. πŸ’›πŸŽ“

These candid moments captured the excitement, nerves, laughter, and memories being made by the Class of 2026 just minutes before the ceremony plans changed. While the location may have shifted, the joy of the night never did.

Here’s a handful of special snapshots from a graduation evening that will definitely be remembered for years to come. πŸŒͺ️
