Congratulations to Officers Chaney, Pittman, Kelly, and Laughter on successfully completing Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training!

CIT training provides officers with additional skills and resources to effectively respond to individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral health crises. The training emphasizes communication, de-escalation, and connecting individuals with appropriate services when possible.

We are proud of these officers for their commitment to continued professional development and for bringing these valuable skills back to the Clinton Police Department and the community we serve.

Summer Camp Days 4 & 5! ☀️

The kids continued their summer camp adventure with a visit to the Battleship North Carolina, where they explored history and learned about life aboard the historic ship. ⚓️

They also enjoyed swimming and cooling off at Royal Lane Pool. 🏊‍♂️

To wrap up an amazing week, each camper received a bookbag filled with school supplies and a certificate recognizing their participation. 🎒📚

🎳 Clinton Police Department Summer Camp Continues!

Our campers enjoyed a fun-filled day of bowling and participated in First Responder Day, where they had the opportunity to learn more about those who serve our community.

A special thank-you to Southern Style for providing lunch for the kids!

The campers also helped select the name of our newest K-9 officer. We are excited to officially welcome Kilo to the Clinton Police Department family! 🐾

CALEA Portal Announcement

The Clinton Police Department participates in the CALEA Law Enforcement Accreditation process. As a part of this process, we provide an opportunity for public feedback via the CALEA Portal which can be located here: https://cimrs2.calea.org/364

The purpose of this portal is to receive comments regarding our compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns. The overall intent of the accreditation process is to provide our agency with information to support continuous improvement, as well as foster our pursuit of professional excellence.

It is important to know that CALEA is not an investigatory body and subsequently the public portal should not be used to submit information for such purposes. Additionally, there will be no response other than acknowledgement to submissions; however, the information will be considered in context to its relevancy to compliance with standards and the tenets of CALEA® Accreditation.

Standard titles may be viewed on the CALEA website: Law Enforcement -Standards Titles | CALEA® | The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. The level of accreditation the Clinton Police Department participates in include only those applicable standards that are in bold.
