Today, on Child Advocacy Center Day and National Superhero Day, our team and partners donned their capes in honor of the true heroes—those who stand up for kids every day. Thank you to all who protect and advocate for children—you are the real superheroes!

HAPPY CAC DAY!!

Today we celebrate the everyday heroes!

Across North Carolina, CAC staff show up for children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Their compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment do not go unnoticed. They are the steady presence in times of uncertainty, the voice for those who need one, the amplifier for those crying out, and the support system that helps children begin to heal.

They are everyday heroes.

We are deeply grateful for the way they advocate for the most vulnerable, for the care they provide, and for the hope they bring into their communities. The impact of their work extends far beyond what can be measured—it changes lives, strengthens families, and builds a safer future for children across our state.

Thank you 💙

With National Superhero Day tomorrow, we’re reminded that real heroes don’t wear capes—they take action.

You can be a superhero for a child by speaking up. If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, reporting it could make all the difference in that child’s life. You don’t have to have proof—just reasonable suspicion.

It only takes one person to make a difference. Today, that person can be you.

Thank you Ms. Faircloth and students at Sampson Middle School for sharing your photos of your pinwheel planting. Students helped place blue pinwheels outside of the school as a symbol of hope, awareness, and the importance of protecting every child. At SMS, staff and students take pride in supporting the whole child, ensuring that each student feels safe, valued, and heard.

A special thank you to Ms. Pat and the ladies at Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church for the prayer quilts. We will give to these our children that are in need of medical exams as a comfort item to use during that process. We appreciate the ongoing support from Graves Memorial Presbyterian for our center and the children we serve. You all are blessing to us!
