:::ROADWORK NOTIFICATION:::

May 15,2026 Tilcon will be in town to mill approximately 500ft of Waterside Lane starting at Route 1. They had an issue with this asphalt and grade when they paved it last year so this is being done free to the town as part of their warranty policy. Paving will take place next week to finish it before Memorial Day.

Apologize for the inconvenience.

For those that may not know, the State of Connecticut requires funds to be set aside from the sale of small liquor bottles (“nips”), known as the NIP Fund.

Clinton DPW uses a portion of this funding to bring crews in on overtime to tackle roadside litter. With the regular weekly workload and traffic concerns, it’s often safer and more efficient to do this work outside normal hours.

Today’s 5-hour cleanup included:
• 40+ large trash bags
• 1 mattress
• Co****le boards

To put it in perspective — on Kelseytown Road alone (Ironworks Rd to Carter Hill Rd), 352 nip bottles were picked up.

Please help us keep our roads clean — dispose of trash properly.
