Another great board meeting in the books. Happy with the collaboration and thoughtful movement by my colleagues to codify and standardize practices in our community. While we're not quite there yet with adopting a formal and repeatable process for facility changes; I expect a lot more discussion and fine tuning to get something great in place.

I promised to look hard at the way we do business if elected to the board. This is step one!

Quick update: at the board meeting this week, I motioned for a temporary pause on changes to our community's facilities that would deviate from their stated governing document purpose while we build a real change policy. The board passed it.

The community manager and I are drafting the resolution now. The point is straightforward — an explicit community driven process so any future facility change gets community input before a decision, not after, and ensures all impacts and costs are fully understood before anything moves forward.

I told you I'd champion this when I asked for your vote. Consider this the first step. We've all lived through what happens without a formal policy. We can do better, and we will.

**Note: This post is a plain-language update, not the official wording. The exact motion and formal details will be captured in the monthly meeting minutes.**

Neighbors — the Board has an upcoming vote on renewing the Little Rocky Run Stingrays' annual contract to use Pool 2, and I want your input before we get there.

This contract touches a lot of residents in different ways — whether you have a swimmer on the team, live near Pool 2, or just use the pool recreationally during the summer. Every perspective matters.

I'm relatively new to the community, so I don't carry a lot of personal history with this issue. That means I'm coming to it with fresh eyes and open ears. What I do know is that a Board vote is better when it reflects the people it affects.

Please share your thoughts in the comments — positive, negative, or somewhere in between. If you'd rather talk privately, my messages are open.

Thank you for helping me represent this community well.

Important update from the HOA Commmunity Manager regarding the lawsuit.

If you came to last month’s meeting, you know, I added an agenda item to discuss traffic in our neighborhood and getting more patrols from the local police department because I was worried about pedestrians or kids on bikes getting hurt by poor drivers and poor driving practices. Unfortunately, less than a week after that meeting - tragedy hit our neighborhood. A car struck a child and they are now in the hospital. Please slow down, obey rules of the road, and drive defensively. Educate your children on proper safety and their part in keeping themselves safe.

Hi neighbors, I appreciate everyone who reaches out with questions or feedback about the HOA - those conversations are always welcome, and I’m happy to discuss board decisions, community issues, or anything else related to Little Rocky Run. I do want to kindly ask, though, that we keep emails focused on neighborhood matters. Political topics unrelated to the community aren’t appropriate for my board inbox, and I’d rather reserve that space for the work we’re here to do together. Thanks for understanding, and please keep the HOA questions coming!

Every decision I make will come with critical thought, a questioning attitude, and by never accepting the status quo because we’ve always done it that way. I owe our community that as a board member as the bare minimum level of effort.

📅 Wednesday, April 9th | 🕖 7:00 PM | 📍 Rec Center 2

Your community. Your voice. Your future.

The Board of Trustees meets every month to discuss the issues that directly affect our neighborhood — from budgets and maintenance to amenities and long-term planning. These meetings aren’t just for the Board. They’re for you.

Showing up is one of the best ways to understand how our community operates, where your assessments go, and what decisions are being made on your behalf. More importantly, it’s your chance to ask questions, share concerns, and offer ideas that help shape the direction of Little Rocky Run.

The Board works best when it hears from the people who live here. Whether you’ve got something specific on your mind or you just want to stay informed, we’d love to see you there.

Hope to see a packed room on the 9th! 👋

Hey LRR Neighbors! 👋

I’ve been building something for our community — LRRNeighbors.com, a place where Little Rocky Run residents can share honest reviews of local services.
Need a reliable plumber? A good landscaper? See what your actual neighbors think — not random internet strangers.

Here’s what makes it different:

🏘️ 100% community driven. Nobody can pay to remove a negative review, not even if they promote their business on the page.

👍 Reddit-style voting on reviews. Upvote helpful reviews, downvote unhelpful ones — the community decides what’s trustworthy.

➕ Anyone can add a business or community resource. Don’t see a listing? Add it yourself and get the conversation started.

🚫 Not affiliated with the HOA in any way. This is a personal community project.

🛠️ Currently in beta. If you find a bug or have feedback, please let me know so I can fix it!
Head over to LRRNeighbors.com, register, and start browsing or adding reviews. The more neighbors who join, the more useful it gets for everyone.

I'm truly grateful and humbled to have earned your support. I don't take that trust lightly. I promise to listen, stay objective, and make sound decisions on behalf of our neighborhood.

I'm excited to get to work and do right by this community we all call home. If you ever have questions, concerns, or ideas, my door is always open. LRR is a special place, and I'm honored to help serve it.
