BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED
Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory issued following repairs to the transmission main system in Clifton.
Water quality testing confirmed that the water meets all state and federal drinking water standards, and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has approved the removal of the advisory.
Customers in the affected area may resume normal water use. Boiling water is no longer necessary.
Recommended Actions:
π§ Run all cold-water faucets for 8β10 minutes
πΏ Clean or replace faucet aerators and showerheads
π§ Empty and clean ice makers, dispensers, and water chillers; discard ice from the next 24-hour cycle
π° Flush refrigerator water dispensers for at least 5 minutes
π§ Service water softeners and filters according to manufacturer recommendations
π’ Drain and refill water reservoirs in tall buildings
π₯ Drain and refill your hot water heater if the temperature is set below 113Β°F
