I wanted to share about a newly-released book written by my brother in law's brother, Chabad colleague, Rabbi Eli Schlanger HYD, who was murdered less than a year ago when terror struck the Chanukah celebration at Bondi Beach in Australia.
For years, Rabbi Schlanger served as a hospital chaplain, and it was in that capacity that he first met Nikki Goldstein, an Australian journalist experiencing a medical emergency. Their conversations turned to G-d, purpose, and how to live. In January 2025 they resolved to put those conversations to paper. Less than a year later, just as the manuscript was nearing completion, Rabbi Schlanger was murdered.
A book written to heal the world was left unfinished, its author brutally murdered.
Nikki was shattered. But with the blessings of Rabbi Schlanger’s devastated family, she resolved to finish what they had started, and this week that came to fruition.
