US 27 Paving and Traffic Signal Notice

The City of Clewiston would like to inform the community that milling and paving operations on US 27 are scheduled to begin Sunday night, September 13, 2026.

Work will take place at night along US 27 from Stitt Ranch Road to Berner Road.

As paving progresses toward the Berner Road intersection, the traffic loops on the eastbound side will be cut during construction. This will place the Berner Road traffic signal in recall mode.

The City is currently working with the contractor to determine how long the signal will remain in recall mode. It may be one to two weeks before paving reaches the Berner Road intersection. The City is also working to have the traffic loops replaced as soon as possible after paving is completed in that area.

Additional updates will be provided as the schedule is confirmed.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work area and allow additional time for travel.

The City appreciates the community's patience and understanding while this work is underway.
