It was all smiles today as our campers learned how to fly and discovered what it feels like to soar. The future of America’s Sweetest Town is already taking flight!

Preparations are in place, and we are looking forward to celebrating America’s 250th birthday in just a little over two weeks. Mark your calendars to join us.

Planning a birthday party, family gathering, or special celebration this summer? The pool is available for private rentals during two time slots: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, offering a fun and unique venue for groups of all ages.

To help residents plan ahead, the following private pool rentals are currently scheduled:

• Saturday, June 20 – Pool reserved from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Friday, June 26 – Pool reserved from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Saturday, June 27 – Pool reserved from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Saturday, July 11 – Pool reserved from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Saturday, July 25 – Pool reserved from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Saturday, August 1 – Pool reserved from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Clewiston Summer Camp 2026 continues into Week 2 with our next exciting theme: Art Explosion Week.

Campers will dive into a creative week filled with colors, crafts, and hands-on art activities designed to spark imagination and self-expression.

Camp runs June 1 through August 7 for ages 5–12. Spots fill quickly, so register today and view all weekly themes and camp information online.

Week 2 of Clewiston Summer Camp 2026 was a colorful success!

Campers enjoyed Art Explosion Week, a creative adventure filled with colors, crafts, and hands-on art activities designed to spark imagination and self-expression. Throughout the week, our young artists explored their creativity, created unique projects, and had fun learning through art.

We are proud to see campers building confidence, making new friends, and expressing themselves through a variety of engaging activities.

As we wrap up another exciting week of summer camp, we look forward to all the fun and learning still ahead this summer.

The City of Clewiston Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce that vendor registration for Clewiston’s 4th of July Celebration honoring America’s 250th Birthday is officially SOLD OUT!

We are incredibly excited about this year’s outstanding lineup of vendors and look forward to welcoming residents and visitors for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration featuring a parade, live entertainment, family activities, contests, food, and fireworks over Lake Okeechobee.

Thank you to all of the vendors who registered and to everyone helping make this historic community celebration possible.
