On Sunday 4/14 a group of us from Broward County visited the Park and also the J-7 Ranch next door. Wonderful day of birding. Besides the Whooper, we saw Barred Lowls and Swallow-tailed Kite, Bald Eagle, Caracara, and many more. Here you can see that the Whooper is the leader of the Sandhill Cranes.

This just in from Catherine... The White-Tailed Kite has been seen here for several days now. Our Sandhill Cranes are still hosting a Whopping Crane at Devils Garden and get ready the migratory birds will start heading up from the Keys and should be visiting our area!
