SCAM ALERT – FAKE COURT NOTICE
We’ve been made aware of a letter going around claiming to be a “Final Notice – Court Enforcement Action” from the State of Missouri.
Let us save you some stress…
This is 100% a scam.
If Missouri courts were coming after you, they wouldn’t send a letter that looks like it was made on someone’s lunch break with a QR code slapped on it.
Red flags:
• QR code asking for payment.
• “Immediate action required” language meant to scare you
• Lists multiple random violations all in one notice.
• Look closely at the photo—it appears distorted and not like an official document.
Do NOT:
• Scan the QR code
• Send money
• Enter any personal information
Do this instead:
• Contact your local court directly if you’re concerned
• Call us if you’re unsure—we’re happy to help
If you’ve received one of these, let us know so we can keep others in the community informed.

We welcome you to bring your thoughts and insights on how the City of Clever Police Department can better serve the community. This is also a great opportunity to talk with the Police Chief and Police Officers.

It is with a very heavy heart that I speak to you today. The Christian County community has suffered a heartbreaking loss with the deaths of two Christian County Deputies. These brave men answered the call to serve and protect others, and they gave their lives in that service. There are no words that can truly capture the depth of this tragedy.

We grieve alongside their families, who have suffered a great loss. We are lifting them up in prayer, asking for comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead. We are also praying for our brothers and sisters at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, who are mourning the loss of their law enforcement family.
