Awhile back I test bred a Dark rooster from our OG bloodline to Splash Dark hen's from our BBS Dark line. The Blue Dark offspring have so far succeeded beyond my expectations! 💙😍 Pictures reference to chick down a clean desirable silver that I like to see, and a pair of month old chicks. Look at the penciling and type on this pullet! I'll be watching that young cockerel as he matures closely for how much pheomelanin red/orange leakage he will start to express on juvenile feathers growing in. So far I'm in awe!

Y'all I am so incredibly proud of our LF Blue Cuckoo Marans project in 2026! This juvenile is still young, but I see so much potential and everything I've worked for in selective breeding to breed true genetics. lineage documented dating back to 2022. 🖤💙🤍 Hopefully he will be breeding ready this fall. 🤎 Genotype E/E, S/S, DF B/B, Bl/bl. We have successfully melanized shanks and toes on white skin genetics.🤞🏼Only thing left to selective breed for color wise going forward is hopefully no Silver leakage.
