The CPC will not be hosting a Brady-Giglio Workgroup meeting at its office today. Commissioners Moreira-Benito, Mason, and Miller will instead meet via Zoom to review public applications for those interested in joining the workgroup.

Please note that this does not violate the Ohio Open Meetings Act, as there is no committee quorum because Commissioner Miller is not a member of the Accountability Committee.

Cleveland remains under a federal Consent Decree, with many stakeholders saying more work is needed before federal oversight can responsibly end.

At today’s Safety Committee meeting, Councilwoman Stephanie Howse-Jones said she will do everything in her power to ensure the Cleveland Community Police Commission is properly resourced and equipped to serve the public effectively and help reshape how residents experience safety, transparency, and trust throughout the city.

After nearly 10 years under the Consent Decree, have you felt a shift in policing in Cleveland? What changes have you seen — and what work still needs to be done?
