Due to yesterdayโ€™s storm, the Cleveland Heights Community Center facility, including the Senior Activity Center and North Rink, is without power. All classes and activities are closed until further notice.

As soon as power is restored, the City will alert residents that the facility is open again. Please note: the ice rink will remain closed until it is sufficiently refrozen.

Cumberland Pool has power and is open today, except for the baby pool, which operates on a separate line and is without power. As soon as itโ€™s up and running, weโ€™ll alert residents.

Thank you for your patience as we work with the power company to get our facilities back online. We hope everyone is safe and well after yesterdayโ€™s storm.

โ€ผ๏ธ Storm Alert! โ€ผ๏ธ

With severe thunderstorms and damaging winds in the region, the risk of downed power lines is extremely high. Always treat all fallen wires as live, stay at least 30 feet away, and never drive over them. Keep clear of any flooded areas or debris where hidden wires may be concealed.

CH Emergency Services (911) and First Energy are receiving reports about downed lines in the City and will work as quickly as possible to secure dangerous areas. You can reach FirstEnergy at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).

Reminder: the CH Community Center serves as a charging station for residents without power.

Please be safe and check on your neighbors.

What a day ๐ŸŽ‰
Today was supposed to be a rainy day. Instead, the sun came out in time for us to celebrate and shower Laila with love and support as she heads in to the world of professional women's hockey. Thank you to Laila and her family. Thank you to our residents for coming out to support her as she journeys in to an exciting future. Thank you to the participants who joined us to make this day magical. Last, but certainly not least, we give a HUGE thank you to our volunteers, Heights Athletic Boosters, city staff and our Special Events Coordinator, Jami Taylor, for leading the charge to make this a special day for Laila and our city. More pictures and thank yous to come, but for now all we can say is "Go Laila!"
