City crews are replacing a fire hydrant at Wichita and Vine. Residents on the east side of town will have low water pressure for the next couple of hours. 4/10/2026 11:30am

Very warm temperatures, gusty southerly winds, and critically dry fuels will lead to enhanced or near critical grassland fire spread rates today across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Highest spread rates occur across parts of northeast Oklahoma. A Fire Danger Statement is in effect areawide.

Once again we would like to thank the citizens of Cleveland and Pawnee County. We couldn’t have done it without you. We washed and “pushed” it into the station to begin its life as Engine 1.

Today we proudly welcome our new Engine 1 into our station.

This evening, we will carry on the longstanding fire service tradition of the wash-down and push-in ceremony—honoring our past while placing this new engine into the station.

Elevated fire threat for the next couple of days. Please don’t burn anything and check your trailers for anything dragging. If you are welding or grinding have welding mats, a water source, and welding blankets. If you have burned in the last couple of days please check on it and make sure it is completely out.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for 11 AM through 8 PM Sunday for portions of northeast Oklahoma due to warm, dry, and windy conditions. Avoid behaviors that may cause a spark. Report fires to authorities immediately.
