🌪️ Severe Weather Season Reminder 🌧️

As we move into tornado and severe storm season, we want to remind everyone to stay weather aware and prepared.

🚨 Outdoor Warning Sirens
Storm sirens are designed to alert people who are outdoors that dangerous weather is approaching. They are not intended to be heard indoors, so please do not rely on them as your primary warning system while inside your home or business.

📱 Stay Informed
Make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts:
• Local television weather coverage
• NOAA weather radio
• Weather apps on your smartphone with alerts enabled

⚠️ Have a Plan
Know where you will take shelter if severe weather or a tornado warning is issued. The safest place is typically an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.

Taking a few minutes now to prepare can make a big difference when severe weather strikes.

Stay safe and stay weather aware

Good Morning Cleveland,

On January 7, 2026, the City of Cleveland conducted a demolition abatement at 410 W. Delaware due to the structure being deemed a dilapidated and attractive nuisance property.

A formal hearing with the property owner was held on October 14, 2025. At that time, the owner was provided due process and given until December 12, 2025, to either bring the property into compliance through repairs or to voluntarily demolish the structure.

Unfortunately, no corrective action was taken by the property owner within the allotted timeframe. As a result, the City was forced to move forward with demolition in order to protect public safety and maintain the quality of life for surrounding residents.

These decisions are not made lightly. Our goal is always to work with property owners whenever possible; however, when unsafe conditions persist, the City has a responsibility to act in the best interest of the community.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep Cleveland a safe and welcoming place to live.
