Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Senior Prom on Saturday evening.

Our guests enjoyed a fun-filled night of music, dancing, refreshments and great company as we celebrated with a groovy 1970s theme. It was wonderful to see so many people come make new memories and enjoy a night on the dance floor.

A special thank you to our volunteers, sponsors and The Rotary Club of Cleveland for helping make this event possible. Your support played an important role in creating such a memorable evening for our community.

In recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Month, we're spotlighting members of our team.

Meet Courtney, one of our dedicated research analysts working to improve the lives of older adults!

When asked about a common misconception surrounding elder abuse, Courtney shared:

“Elder abuse is not someone else's problem. It is everyone's problem. It happens to people from all backgrounds in societies across the globe. In the U.S., it affects at least one in ten adults over the age of 60.”

As a researcher, Courtney finds the greatest reward in knowing that her work can make a difference, from helping individuals directly to supporting better programs and policies that strengthen communities.

Benjamin Rose had a great time participating in Rep. Shontel Brown's OH-11 Housing Expo and connecting with residents from across Northeast Ohio.

The expo brought together government agencies, nonprofits, financial institutions and community organizations to provide resources and guidance on homeownership, housing assistance, financial wellness, senior services and more. Benjamin Rose recently partnered with Re:Source Cleveland to host a Rose on the Go program for older Congolese women in our community. Led by gardening instructor Judi Strauss, participants learned about the benefits of growing plants, herbs and vegetables in containers, along with practical tips for gardening in small spaces when a yard or community garden is not available.

After the presentation, participants rolled up their sleeves to prepare their own pots and chose bean or okra seeds to plant. The program concluded with a lively question-and-answer session focused on regional planting schedules and gardening best practices.

More than a gardening lesson, the event provided an opportunity for participants to connect, learn and enjoy time together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special gathering possible.

Do you enjoy technology and helping others learn new skills? Volunteer with Benjamin Rose’s Connecting Our Seniors to Technology (COST) program and help older adults connect to the digital world.

Volunteers provide light technology assistance during classes, help with classroom setup, reminder calls and course registration support alongside the instructor. Classes take place Wednesday and Friday afternoons at Benjamin Rose headquarters.
