ABOUT US
Seeds of Literacy's mission is to provide personalized education that empowers adults to thrive in their communities. Together with our students, volunteers, and donors, we help break a root cause of poverty: illiteracy. Since 1997, Seeds of Literacy has provided free, one-to-one tutoring in basic education and GED preparation to adults in Cuyahoga County. A unique curriculum designed and developed by Seeds of Literacy and one-to-one tutoring optimize learning by catering to the academic needs of each individual student.

Introducing the 2026 Seeds of Literacy Student Ambassadors! These students truly encapsulate what it means to be a Seeds student both in the classroom and in the community. We can not be more excited to continue giving them the opportunity to share their stories and inspire future students to take the first step towards obtaining their GED.
