This past week, some members of and myself had the opportunity to attend the Army Basic Combatives Course, a foundational training program focused on hand-to-hand combat and self-defense.

This course teaches soldiers basic fighting techniques, including striking, grappling, and weapon retention, to prepare them for close-quarters combat situations and enhance their overall combat readiness.

For the current members, I would highly recommend that you make a request through your chain of command to attended this course! It will help to make you a more competent well rounded soldier, and give you more weapons to add to your arsenal! Plus, it’s super fun! 🇺🇸🪖⭐️

Today we graduated, tomorrow we continue to learn!

Congratulations to CDT Connor Fix on his enlistment into the Ohio Army National Guard this past Friday! 🇺🇸⭐️

CDT Fix has joined as a 09R - Simultaneous Membership Program Cadet. He is currently a student at Cleveland State University, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, and an already contracted cadet at the school’s ROTC program !

He will be using the Ohio Army National Guard Scholarship to help assist in pursuing the rest of his undergraduate degree. Following graduation, CDT Fix will become a 2LT and has high hopes to pursue becoming a helicopter pilot!
