We regretfully announce the passing of Larry Saulpaugh on Friday morning. Larry was a lifelong member of the Clermont Fire Company having served not only as a fireman, but he also worked his way up through the ranks becoming Chief of the Company for many years. After stepping down as Chief, Larry went on to serve as Captain of the Fire Police for several years as well. Larry was also a current Clermont Fire District Commissioner.

Larry not only served the Fire Company and Fire District, he was also an active member in the Clermont community having served many positions with the Town of Clermont and Columbia County.

We are truly saddened by his passing and want to send our prayers and thoughts to Larry’s immediate family and friends.

Services for Larry are as follows:

Calling hours will be this Thursday, August 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bates and Anderson Funeral Home in Hudson.

There will be a service at the Funeral Home on Friday, August 14th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a procession to the Clermont Town Hall.

Rest easy Chief Saulpagh, we will take it from here!
