The Women's Giving Alliance seeks to encourage philanthropy, leadership and mentoring of all women. The WGA is committed to:

Connect and Create meaningful relationships with other like-minded women who are passionate about our mission statement. Broaden and Deepen the membership and base of financial support of the WGA. Identify and Support programs that reflect the interests of the WGA and its

members. Engage and Educate through programs and activities that highlight the diversity of achievement of the WGA. Cultivate and Mentor women as philanthropists and leaders and provide them with a personal connection to the WGA and the Community Foundation of South Lake County to be successful.

On Tuesday night, several WGA members were honored to assist with Thrive's Summer Pop-Up Event for teens. It was an initiative designed to connect local youth with opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and community engagement. Access to the mission and overall operations of these great organizations that truly make a difference in our community. The WGA remains committed to supporting programs that empower women and young people and strengthen our community by investing in the next generation of leaders.s.leaders.

The event gave teenagers the opportunity to explore various activities and areas of interest while engaging in small-group discussions and presentations facilitated by community leaders and influential members. These meaningful interactions offered valuable guidance, encouragement, and insight as participants considered opportunities for involvement and future growth.

We are grateful to the organizers, volunteers, and community partners whose dedication made this event possible. This event was part of the Women's Giving Alliance Community Connections Series that explores the non-profits in our areas and allows our members access to the mission and overall operations of these great organizations that truly make a difference in our community. The WGA remains committed to supporting programs that empower women and young people and strengthen our community by investing in the next generation of leaders.

Tomorrow is the day! 🌟We're heading to Downtown Clermont to spend an evening with the amazing young people of Thrive Clermont — and we'd love for you to join us.

Thrive Clermont empowers youth ages 13–18 through mentorship, life skills, and community engagement, and tomorrow night we get a front-row seat to their Summer Pop-Ups in action.

Here's what to know:
🕕 6:00 PM — Arrive to mingle, explore the activities, and connect with the kids (and maybe even participate if space allows!)
🍽️ 7:00 PM — If you can only make it for the meal service, that works too. But we really do recommend coming early — the Pop-Up activities are always a good time.

Wear something comfortable! Activities take place throughout Downtown Clermont, primarily in and around the City Center.

Join us for our next Women's Giving Alliance Community Connections event as we spend an evening with Thrive Clermont and experience the impact they're making in the lives of local teens.

Thrive Clermont's Summer Pop-Ups provide a safe, engaging space for youth ages 13–18 to build life skills, connect with mentors, and strengthen their ties to the community. This is a wonderful opportunity to see their programs in action and support the next generation.

🕕 6:00 PM – Connect with fellow WGA members while observing and engaging with Summer Pop-Up activities

We're joining forces with Thrive Clermont, a wonderful local organization empowering teens ages 13–18 through mentorship, life skills, and community engagement. Come see their Summer Pop-Ups in action!

What a meaningful morning with Building Blocks Aktion Club! 💙

Members of the Women’s Giving Alliance had the opportunity to tour the beautiful facility and garden, spend time with Karina and Rachel, and experience firsthand the incredible work happening each day at Building Blocks. From the welcoming environment to the impactful programs and inspiring clients, it was clear in every interaction how much care, dignity, and joy are at the center of their mission.

We are so grateful for the hospitality and for the chance to learn more about the positive impact Building Blocks continues to make throughout our community. Thank you for sharing your hearts, your mission, and your morning with us.

Attendees included Jo Lynn Nicholson, Heather Krukoski, Cheryl Hernandez, Cathy Bateham, Jamila Smith, and Cheryl Hernandez’s guest.
