NOTICE: Burn Ban Lifted in Lake County

Champions, recent rainfall has brought welcome relief across our area, and Lake County has lifted the countywide burn ban.

While conditions have improved, fire safety remains important. If you're planning an outdoor fire, remember:
* Follow Florida’s Open Fire Laws
* Never Leave A Fire Unattended
* Keep Fires Away From Structures
* Properly Extinguish All Fires
* Keep A Water Source Nearby
* Avoid Burning On Windy Days

Even after rain, dry vegetation can still ignite quickly. A single spark can lead to a dangerous wildfire.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe by using caution and practicing responsible burning.

Please join Fire Chief David Ezell in congratulating the following Clermont Fire Department personnel who were recognized by Orlando Health South Lake Hospital with the Phoenix Award during their awards ceremony on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

These individuals were honored for their direct role in the successful resuscitation of a patient who suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest and was later discharged without neurological complications following the December 2025 incident.

We are proud of their dedication to advanced medical training, their professionalism during critical incidents, and their coordinated response alongside Lake County Fire Rescue.

Congratulations to Division Chief Dean Luginbuhl, Lieutenant Jon Fagan, Engineer Eric Gullikson, Engineer Randall West (missing from the photo), Engineer Josiah Hook, and Firefighter Zachary Woolgar for your unwavering commitment to serving the residents and visitors of the City of Clermont.

Your skill, teamwork, and commitment to excellence make a lasting difference in our community every day. Thank you for answering the call when it matters most.

Congratulations on this well deserved recognition!

🔥 Community Safety Update: Burn Ban in Effect for the City of Clermont 🔥

To help protect our homes, neighborhoods, and natural spaces, the City of Clermont is currently under a burn ban beginning April 27, 2026. By working together and following a few simple precautions, we can keep our community safe during this period of increased fire risk.

🏕 Outdoor Safety Reminders
Please avoid burning yard debris, trash, or construction materials
Skip campfires, bonfires, and other open burning for now
Fully extinguish ci******es and dispose of them properly

🚗 Vehicles & Equipment
Small actions can make a big difference:
Park vehicles on pavement or dirt — not dry grass
Maintain spark arrestors on off-road vehicles and equipment
Secure or remove dragging chains
Use mowers, trailers, and equipment carefully on hot, dry days

🍔 Grilling & Outdoor Activities
Enjoy the outdoors safely:
Keep water or a hose nearby when grilling
Wet down the surrounding area before and after use
Avoid grilling on windy days
Thoroughly soak used charcoal, coals, or fireworks with water until completely cool.

Every precaution you take helps protect your neighbors, local wildlife, and the places we all love. Thank you for doing your part to keep Clermont safe and resilient.

At the Clermont Fire Department, pride in service starts with pride in our equipment. 🚒✨

This week, our members took part in our bi-annual apparatus wax day — making sure every rig reflects the professionalism, care, and commitment we bring to our community every day.

To us, it’s more than just keeping things clean. It’s about respect—for our tools, our team, and the citizens we serve. Like quasi-professional detailers, our firefighters take ownership in maintaining apparatus that are always ready, always reliable, and always representing our department at its best.
Because when the community sees us, they should see excellence—inside and out.

The members of Local 4350 would like to extend a HUGE shout out to MISSION BBQ (Clermont) for their generous donation to the Clermont Firefighters Benevolent Fund through their Hometown Heroes Cup program.

This is just another example of their continued commitment to supporting the community and those who serve it. Partnerships like this truly make a difference, and we are proud to have such strong community backing.

We appreciate your ongoing support. Thank you for always having our backs! 🔥🚒🐷
