What a great testimonial about one of our newest recruits currently training at the DeSoto Fire Training Center. Awesome job, Justin Power! He’s the one holding the toddler after his crew helped keep the little boy safe when he wandered across six lanes of busy 5:30 p.m. traffic without a scratch. Quick action, calm response and being in the right place at the right time made all the difference. 🙌

Cleburne Fire hosted a FREE car seat installation event today. There will be 3 more events that will take place 9 to 11 a.m. at Fire Station #2 (606 S. Nolan River Rd.).

These are free events where parents can get their car seat checked for proper installation and/or a free car seat that will be installed.

The remaining dates for 2026 are:

✅ Wednesday, Aug. 26

✅ Wednesday, Oct. 28

People don’t often realize how much goes on behind the scenes to keep a Fire Department running—endless paperwork, invoices, tracking, scheduling, and a phone that never seems to stop ringing.

Truth is, we wouldn’t keep it all afloat without our Administrative Ninja / Chaos Coordinator / Sanity Shepherd, Marlena Keller.

Now, I know what you’re all thinking… wasn’t that yesterday?
You are absolutely right, it was.

But Marlena is so important to us, we decided she deserved her own day. Around here, we call it… “the next day.”

(And yes, the balloon was strategically placed by Marlena herself… because today is supposed to be about operations, not celebrations!)

Cleburne Firefighters turned up the heat during live fire training on April 3, 6, and 7! 🔥

Crews tackled intense fire attack and search & rescue scenarios, sharpening their skills and working as a team under real conditions. They also put the new AttackPRO Series thermal imaging cameras to the test—taking performance and safety to the next level.

Yesterday, our firefighters got a very important delivery: cookies! (arguably the most essential supply on any apparatus 😉). A huge thank you to these amazing young leaders, Girl Scout Troop 3402, for stopping by the Cleburne Fire Department and brightening our day with smiles, kindness, and a whole lot of sweetness. 🍪🚒
