Fire Safety Friday! Space heaters can be convenient, but they can also become a serious fire hazard. Remember the 3-foot rule, keep heaters away from anything that can burn, and ALWAYS turn them off before leaving or going to bed!

FIRE SAFETY FRIDAY: IS YOUR HOME READY FOR AN EMERGENCY?

When seconds count, preparation can save lives!

Fire safety is important at every age, but older adults may face additional challenges when it comes to escaping a fire safely.

This week, the Cleburne Fire Department wants to remind our community that a few simple precautions can make a BIG difference!

✅ Make sure smoke alarms are working.
✅ Keep hallways and exits clear of obstacles.
✅ Have an escape plan that considers mobility needs.
✅ Be aware of fire hazards involving oxygen and medications.
✅ Check in regularly on older family members, friends, and neighbors.

A Wind Advisory has been issued for all of North and Central Texas for Friday. Following the passage of a strong cold front tonight and tomorrow, sustained winds will reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph during the day Friday. Please take precautions to secure outdoor items such as lawn furniture, decorations, and other lightweight objects, and exercise extra caution when boating on area lakes.

Can you tell they love what they do? ❤️

Babysitting isn't typically part of a firefighter's job description, but these Cleburne firefighters were happy to step up! 🚒

When a babysitter experienced a medical emergency last week while caring for two 7-month-old twins, the Cleburne Fire Department responded to assist.

While crew members provided medical attention to the babysitter, two firefighters, who are both dads themselves, put their parenting skills to good use by keeping the babies safe, comfortable and cared for until their mother arrived back home. They even helped gather the babies' belongings and get them safely into the car!

Their kindness helped make a frightening situation a little easier for the family.

We're proud of our Cleburne firefighters for showing that serving the community sometimes means going beyond the job description. ❤️

What a great night with our Cleburne community! 🚒 ❤️

The Cleburne Fire Department had an awesome time at National Night Out last night! Our firefighters enjoyed getting out into the community, visiting with neighbors, sharing plenty of laughs, and, of course, enjoying some great food and even better company!

Events like National Night Out remind us that serving Cleburne is about more than responding to emergencies—it’s about building relationships and staying connected with the people we are proud to serve.
