Preserving and protecting records is one of the County Clerk's core responsibilities. While many of our preservation efforts focus on digitizing records to ensure long-term access, preservation sometimes means protecting the original paper records themselves.

This week, our office completed a physical preservation project involving 19 different record series, some dating back to the 1800s.

Whether through digitization or physical preservation, we are committed to protecting the records entrusted to our care and preserving Johnson County's history.
