Gulf Coast JFCS programs span a broad human service spectrum. Founded in 1960 and incorporated in 1974, Gulf Coast JFCS now serves approximately 30,000 people annually across Greater Tampa Bay and beyond.

Together with the Marks Family Fund, Gulf Coast JFCS is helping refugee individuals and families access the resources and support they need to establish new lives in our community. Donations help provide critical assistance, including temporary housing, food, clothing, transportation, legal support for work authorization, job training, healthcare access, school enrollment, daycare, and cultural competency support.

We are pleased to welcome Nicole Guincho, vice president of clinical services at Gulf Coast JFCS, as a panelist at FCBHW’s From Research to Action: Florida Behavioral Health Workforce Summit.

With 25 years of behavioral health experience, Guincho oversees 12 programs serving 37 Florida counties. She is a licensed mental health counselor, certified addictions professional and CARF surveyor.

We are excited to hear Guincho's insights, informed by her extensive experience in clinical services, behavioral health leadership and crisis intervention training.

What a wonderful way to kick off the month of September! This week, City of Largo, Florida USA Commission honored Welcoming Week, an initiative designed to support and welcome newly arriving residents, with a proclamation.

This year is especially meaningful as it marks 10 years of Welcoming Week activities with Largo Public Library. Through their annual Welcoming Week efforts, Largo Public Library, alongside other local libraries, collects new, unused household items for new families in our community. We are grateful for their continued commitment to helping families feel welcomed and supported!
