Please be aware of current detour effecting the entrance to eastbound I-94 in Clearwater.

UPDATE: As of 3:45 p.m., the incident on the eastbound I-94 on-ramp has been cleared and the ramp has reopened to traffic

The entrance to eastbound I-94 in Clearwater at Hwy. 24 is closed as crews work to remove and overturned vehicle. No timeline has been given by MnDOT as to how long the removal of the vehicle, which is down in a ditch, will take. Eastbound traffic is being detoured to Hwy. 10 or westbound I-94 to loop around at Opportunity Drive to get back onto eastbound I-94

Splash Pad Update!

Exciting progress is happening at the splash pad! The sidewalk around the splash pad area has been completed, along with the dirt work and sprinkler installation. It's starting to take shape, and we can't wait to see it come together!

While construction continues, El Dorado Park remains open for everyone to enjoy the basketball courts, athletic fields, and playground area. We kindly ask all visitors to be mindful of the designated work zone and stay out of the area for everyone's safety.

Reminder: Refuse & Recycling Pickup day has changed to Wednesdays.

Please make sure your refuse carts are placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. each Wednesday and recycling on designated Wednesdays.

Road Construction: Hwy 24 – Clearwater

Utility work is currently underway as part of the upcoming road construction project on Hwy 24. At this time, motorists should expect minimal to no impact on traffic flow while crews complete utility improvements.

Additional updates regarding traffic impacts, construction timelines, and project progress will be shared as work advances.

Ash Street - Road Improvements
Road Closures and Intermittent Water Shutoffs

Ash Street, between County Road 75 and TH-24, will experience temporary road closures and intermittent water shutoffs of approximately one hour as crews complete necessary road repairs and water valve replacements.

The work is expected to take place during the week of June 1.

Reminder for Rental Property Owners

The City of Clearwater requires all rental housing properties to be registered with the city by June 30, 2026. All rental properties within the City of Clearwater must hold a valid Rental Housing Certificate.
