We recognize the hardworking men and women whose dedication keeps our communities moving forward. We’re especially grateful for the public servants who devote their careers to serving others and strengthening the communities we call home.

In appreciation, we will be closed today to allow our staff to spend the day with family and friends. We will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, with normal operations and business hours. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day!

Back to School! As our college summer interns return to FSU Panama City, FSU Tallahassee, and Stetson, we hope that the experiences they gained will help them in their future studies and endeavors. We wish you a great year ahead!

Another guilty verdict thanks to the extraordinary preparation, relentless attention to detail, and all-around excellent work done by Assistant State Attorneys Nash Licona and Hannah Farrell. Despite shifting narratives and alibis, our prosecutors focused on the truth and in the end got justice. Job well done!

Stuart Beck, 25, was convicted of second-degree murder in the 2022 shooting death of Michael Conrad.

Guilty! Excellent work by Assistant State Attorneys Alexandra Spadaro and Molly Goodwill. Justice was found after nearly 40 years thanks to advances in technology and the hard work of our prosecutors and law enforcement partners. Long overdue but the right verdict in the end.

After police covertly collected DNA samples from Michael Lapniewski, prosecutors built their case on a match to hairs found at the crime scene in 1987.
