We have heard from KSGRA President. They have confirmed the dates of April 22nd and 23rd to come to Borrowing Freedom and conducting a Rodeo School during the day, having a HoeDown Dinner Dance in the evening of the 22nd, and doing a Trail Ride on the 23rd. NOW - if you are interested in seeing this stuff happen, so that you have things to do, we need you. It takes help to pull these things together. If you want to see this happen, let us know that you can help. If we don't have at least 10-20 people willing to roll up their sleeves and help I will be have to cancel this event.

Central PA Equality Meeting Notes

September 12, 2016

Keystone State Rodeo – To be held early spring 2017. Tracie Lytle from Borrowing Freedom was in attendance and has offered their facility to hold the rodeo school and trail rides. There is currently an active search for the Saturday evening Country Dinner Dance. Dennis will be in contact with KSRA about the specifics of holding the rodeo school. More details to follow

Equality Fest 2017 – Neither the Clearfield Fair grounds nor the Dubois City Park are available for the date of June 11, 2017. It was suggested we search alternative venues, which I am doing, or we change the date. Brandon Parsons has submitted interest in performing for Equality Fest. To date, no other performers contacted have gotten back to us, but that search will continue. Mike was unavailable for this meeting, but Shannon Beavers has contacted the Hyde Fire Hall, and we are welcome to do drag shows at their facility, rental cost was minimal, so it is an alternative for Clearfield area.

Teen Center – Progress is coming, the Teen center should be up and running within two months. More details to follow.

It has been suggested that the LGBTQ community begin hosting “netflix and chill” events, game nights, bowling nights, skate nights, etc. Discussion on this issue will continue.

Next Meeting will be held at Borrowing Freedom on Sunday October 9th at 2:00 PM – after the meeting anyone interested should going in their corn maze, and festivities $5 per person per ride or walk thru . It has been suggested members bring a picnic item to share. Borrowing Freedom 440 Lytle Rd, 16837 Glen Richey, United States
