Hooper Holiday House

Hooper Holiday House Hooper Holiday House (aka Clearfield Christmas Cottage) is an animated holiday light display. There We downsized and moved to Clearfield in 2018.

2021 Update added below

We are Mike and Margie Goodrich, residents of Hooper, Utah, from 2005 to 2018. We have a family tradition to drive around on Christmas Eve and admire everyone’s lights. One year, we discovered the animated light show videos posted on YouTube and knew that’s what we wanted to do with our new yard. We started in 2010 with a 64 channel Light-O-Rama setup and a few sequences.

In 2011 we added a modest Halloween show, and increased the Christmas show to 96 active channels. In 2012, we increased to 112 channels, and in 2014 we are up to 128, adding 4 singing Christmas trees. We switched to RGB technology in 2016 and we are adding even more this year. I've lost track of how many lights we have! Even though our main love is Christmas, our Halloween display is also a hit with the kids. The Christmas display should be turned on Thanksgiving night. The Halloween display will probably not be put up again this year. As an update, I am not sure how much longer I will be doing the light shows. The main creative force behind this effort, my wife Margie, passed on Father's Day 2020. We'll see what happens.
