Megan Ratchford - Clearfield City Council Member Megan Ratchford, 1 councilwomen on a team of 6. I’m the vice chair for the North Davis Fire District and alumni from the Davis County Citizens Police Acedemy.

I also was honored this year to be Mayor Pro Tam and the Honorary Commanders Program for two yr I am Megan Ratchford, a dedicated professional with the skills and experience to foster a thriving community. Since relocating to Utah in 2010 from Pennsylvania, my husband and I sought a change of pace and an engaged community. We moved to Clearfield in 2014. With over 2 decades of service with Hilton,

I have excelled in creating positive cultures, launching hotels, and leading award-winning teams focused on guest satisfaction. Hospitality is my passion, and I strive to make people happy in all aspects of life. In Pennsylvania, I participated in Leadership Wilkes-Barre Community Outreach, where we helped elderly patients in nursing homes connect. Locally, I have supported various chambers and engaged in city events, ribbon cuttings, and mentorship programs. Currently, I serve as a Clearfield City Planning Commissioner Vice Chair and participate with the Military Affairs Committee, supported by the Davis Chamber. I strive to help the military transition into our community with a feeling of inclusion. I envision a vibrant city that embraces diversity, fosters economic prosperity, and prioritizes environmental sustainability. I value citizen input and seek to build unity while addressing pressing community issues. Join me as I contribute to shaping a brighter future for our city residents.

As the government shutdown continues our military friends and family need our communities help. I am humbling asking to spread the word or offer where you can. The base has received triple the amount of requests for daily basic items. Any assistance is appreciated and very much needed. Drop off any items to the Tru by Hilton located at 640 N Falcon Hill Drive. Reach out with any questions and thank you for helping support the airman’s attic resource.

Power outages are impacting around 6,500 homes/businesses in Clearfield, Syracuse, and possibly other parts of Davis County.

Electricity is expected to be restored by 7 a.m. TOMORROW, according to the Rocky Mountain Power website. The company says it's a "Substation Problem."
