Itโ€™s time to recognize our amazing Administrative Service Division! ๐Ÿšจ

They work with one goal in mind: to serve the community and connect people with the resources that they need.

This division includes our evidence tech, crossing guards, school resource officers, a domestic violence specialist, and our mental health officer.

Weโ€™re so proud of the hard work they do for our department and the services they provide to the community! ๐Ÿ’™

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. It's a time to recognize the importance of mental wellness for everyone in our community.

At Clearfield City Police Department, we recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health. Our officers receive ongoing training on a variety of mental health-related topics, and the department has a specialized investigator who works closely with community partners and crisis response resources to assist individuals experiencing mental health crises.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please know you are not alone. Reach out, check in on loved ones, and never hesitate to seek help when needed.

-Make sure your kids are wearing helmets when riding electric bikes and scooters, and that they are supervised while doing so. (Check out Utah House Law 381 for more info)
-Curfew at all city parks is midnight, except Island View park which has a curfew of dusk.
-Call us if you see anything suspicious or need help by dialing our non-emergency number (801-525-2800) or 911.

We hope you have a good, safe summer!

There are new e-bike helmet laws in Utah! ๐Ÿšฒ

As of May 6, anyone under the age of 21 must wear a helmet on standard e-bikes and e-scooters (Up to 750 W and 20 mph with pedals). Helmets must meet DOT or CPSC safety standards.

There are also additional restrictions to follow:
- Ages 8 and under are not allowed to ride on public roads.
- Ages 8-15 require adult supervision or must obtain a safety certification.
- If the electric vehicle moves over 20 mph without pedals, it is considered an e-motorcycle, and you must be 16 with a driverโ€™s license to operate it.

This update was put in place to improve safety for both riders and pedestrians. If you need more information, we encourage you to read more about Utah House Bill 381.

Stay safe and wear your helmets. (And don't put it on backwards like our rider in the video ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Our department ran the Walk in Their Shoes 5K in honor of survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Our community should be a place where every person can feel safe and supported. Thank you to Safe Harbor Crisis Center for putting on the event and their work in providing shelter, resources, and advocacy to survivors in our community.

Through community awareness of abuse and support of survivors, all of us can help make Clearfield a safer place.

Shoutout to the Clearfield City Police Department for showing up strong at our Walk in Their Shoes 5K! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Not only did your team bring incredible energy and support, but you also took home bragging rights for the fastest runner of the day! Weโ€™re so grateful for your continued partnership and the way you show up for our community both on and off the course.

This week we celebrated National Police Week. ๐Ÿ’™

It's a time to honor the service, sacrifice, and dedication of officers across the nation, and remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Police work often requires long hours, difficult decisions, and personal sacrifice to serve others. Thanks to the families, loved ones, and community members who support law enforcement officers every day. Your encouragement and partnership mean more than words can express.

During National Police Week, we pause to remember the fallen, support those who continue to serve, and reaffirm our commitment to the safety and well-being of our community. Thank you to all who wear the badge and those who stand beside them.
