A big thank you to the Clear Lake Pickleball Club for the wonderful new addition to the pickleball courts at 300 N 20th St!

The club recently raised funds and then donated their time and talents to construct this beautiful new shelter for players and visitors to enjoy.

Located at 1720 12th Ave S, our fully fenced dog park is over 2 acres of tail-wagging fun with separate areas for large and small dogs, agility equipment for extra adventure, and drinking fountains to keep everyone hydrated! 🦴💦

Whether your dog loves to zoom, socialize, or show off their agility skills, there’s plenty of room to explore and enjoy. 🐕✨

Please remember to observe all posted rules and regulations to help keep the park safe and enjoyable for everyone. 🐾

🌞🧹 A big THANK YOU to these very industrious students who decided to trade a day in the classroom for a day of community service! The Parks Department was proud to have them helping with beach and seawall cleaning, City Park cleanup, weeding ornamental beds, and even planting the Lakeview Room window in a patriotic red, white, and blue theme! 🇺🇸🌺

I continue to be impressed by the quality of these young people. They were polite, hardworking, and eager to help all day long.

And to the parental units out there — well done raising such great kids! 👏

🌸☀️ Up before the sun and making Clear Lake beautiful! ☀️🌸

A HUGE thank you to Jenna Kingsley, the Clear Lake Ag Ed & FFA program, and all of the amazing students who helped the Parks Department put out hanging baskets bright and early this morning at 5AM! Your hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to jump in mean so much to our community.

And a special shoutout to Mike Ritter, our City Building Inspector… who knew he had such a green thumb?! 🌿😄

This is what community partnership is all about — schools and city departments working together to make Clear Lake shine. The Parks Department is proud to celebrate this awesome collaboration!

Happy Monday, everyone!

Sorry for the delay in posting, but I’m excited to share some great news from last week!

On Wednesday, May 6th, the Parks Department had the privilege of hosting over 100 hardworking students from Clear Lake High School! These amazing students teamed up with City staff to tackle projects all over town — from the Clear Lake Public Library and Little League fields at the baseball diamonds, to City Hall, Freedom Rock Park, City Park and beach areas, Marion Parks, and of course, Everybody Plays Park.🌳

Together, we spread an estimated 90+ cubic yards of safety mulch, improving both safety and appearance throughout our parks. The energy, teamwork, and positive attitudes these students brought made a huge impact.

🙌To the parents, teachers, and staff: your students represented you incredibly well. Their work ethic and enthusiasm were outstanding, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they accomplished.

A very heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone involved — students, teachers, and our dedicated City staff. You helped make Clear Lake an even better place to live and play!💚
