Proud to continue serving my community with dedication, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to progress. I am a retired Army veteran, Mayor Pro Tem, and President of the NAACP.

As a state legislator education matters. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History from Stillman College, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Troy University, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy: Social Policy.

My background also includes service as a History Teacher for public schools, Senior Correctional Officer at Ventress Correctional Facility, Classification Specialist at Bullock Correctional Facility, City Councilwoman for the City of Clayton, Mayor Protem for City of Clayton, Advisory Council Member to Congressman Shomari Figures, President of the NAACP in Barbour County, and Community Advisory Board Site Facilitator for the Focus Initiative.

My experience in education, public safety, and public service continues to guide my work for the people I serve.

Today is Election Day in Alabama!!!! Polls open from 7am-7pm!

I’m asking every voter in District 84 (Barbour, Bullock & Russell) to show up, make your voice heard, and vote for leadership that is committed to investing in our schools, supporting our seniors, building stronger communities, and putting people first.

This campaign has always been about service, accountability, and the future of our district. Now is the time to stand up for progress and vote for change that works for all of us.

Congratulations to the Eufaula High School graduating seniors! As President of the Barbour County NAACP we are so proud of each of you and excited to celebrate your hard work, dedication, and bright futures ahead.

A special thank you to the NAACP Scholarship Committee for selecting such outstanding students to receive our annual scholarship awards. Your commitment to uplifting and investing in the next generation makes a lasting difference.

Go be great, and always remember: Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

From protest in Montgomery to forums in both Bullock and Russell County, it has been a busy week. I’m so grateful to everyone in District 84 for your continued support, especially over the past week.

A special thank you to our Barbour County Relay for Life Queens as well as leaders from our Eufaula Board of Education for coming out and sharing dinner with me. My heart has always been to be an example to our youth about strength, resilience, and overcoming.

Thank you for standing with me as we keep moving forward together.
